Coffee or pre-workout? Coffee

Early morning or night owl? Early mornings—before anything else can get in the way!

Favourite treat? Cheese, chocolate, wine

How did you get into fitness? I’ve always loved being active. Growing up, I played soccer and netball in winter, athletics and Oztag in summer. I danced all year round and loved snowboarding. I was constantly on the move! Fitness has always been something I genuinely enjoyed, so turning that passion into helping others fall in love with movement felt natural.

Favourite type of workout to coach? HIIT workouts with functional movements, combining strength and cardio to make everyday life easier. Carry ALL the groceries in one trip , lift the kids, or tackle the stairs without getting wiped out, this is the functional fitness I love to coach.

Strength or cardio? Tricky! I love strength during the workout for the unbeatable feeling of getting stronger, and I love cardio for how it makes me feel afterwards, but hate it while I'm doing it. Cardio gives me the energy to keep up with my active kids, so my answer? Both, they each give something important.

Coaching philosophy Consistency is key. Motivation comes and goes, but showing up and doing something, even if it’s not perfect, is what counts. Build the routine, maintain it, and watch it create lasting lifestyle changes and lifelong habits.

What new members should know You don’t have to be fit to start, start to get fit! We cater to all fitness levels, and while it can feel daunting at first, our members are welcoming and supportive. Just give it a go, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Coffee or pre-workout? Coffee

Early morning trainer or night owl? EARLY!!!

One thing people are surprised to learn about you? I have a degree in marine biology and a masters in Forest Ecology

If you weren’t a trainer, what would you be doing? Working with people with additional needs/diabilities

Favourite cheat meal or treat? Cheese...all the cheese

Beach holiday or mountain getaway? mountains with a lake

What’s your favourite type of workout to coach? Tabata, faced-paced and challenging.

Least favourite exercise (be honest 😅)? mountain climbers (I will take burpees over mountain climbers any day!)

Go-to exercise everyone should be doing? Squats, any type (I really like sit to stands!), and any two exercises that mean getting up and down off the floor.

What’s one common fitness myth you love to bust? I like people to know (especially women) that you don't need to do hard core exercise 5 or 6 times a week. 3 times a week and some light exercise on the other days is just fine.

What do you love most about coaching women? We have some much more to prove when we train and every time we prove everyone wrong with how much we can achieve. Whether it is dedication to 6am sessions, working on completing a long plank or lifting heavier, it always will make a difference to our lives.

What makes your training style different? I have been called sergeant. I like to push, and make my clients (of any age ability!) work hard.

How do you help members stay motivated on tough days? I verbalise a lot. I talk to the members and I like them to know how badass they are even on the days they don't want to be there, they still show up.

What’s your favourite success story from bootcamp? Anytime a member goes from knee pushups to toe pushups I am SO proud. It's something we are always told we cannot do ("Girl pushups' anyone?) So once I see you on those hands and toes I get really excited!

What do you want new members to know before starting? Don't be scared, this is one of the most supportive places to be when exercising, whether you are just beginning or decades into it.

One piece of advice for someone nervous about starting bootcamp? Take your time, don't try to keep up with anyone, even if you start with your best friend. This is your workout, not theirs.

What does “progress” really look like to you? Adding one more rep, one more kg in that dumbbell you're picking up, one more burpee. That is all we need to show progress. And showing up, going from 1 day to 2 days a week or 3 to 4.

If you weren’t a trainer, what would you be doing? This is reverse for me, I am a Senior Risk Analyst in my day job, and I love to train and teach fitness. If I weren't a Senior Risk Analyst, I'd be working full-time in fitness as a trainer.

One thing people are surprised to learn about you? I am an introvert. I might be loud and fun to be around during our workouts, but when bootcamp is over, I enjoy time at home where I can recharge.

Squats or lunges? Squats for sure, with pulses and holds for an added level of difficulty!

What do you want new members to know My biggest advice is "There is always a modification to any exercise, so don't feel limited with what you may or may not be able to do, just keep moving and don't let anything get in your way."

One piece of advice for someone nervous about starting bootcamp?

You don’t need to be fit to start, that’s the whole point. Everyone starts somewhere and no one is watching or judging you. Just show up and let the rest follow.

One thing people are surprised to learn about you?

Many people are surprised to learn that I’m a professional tennis athlete and have been playing tennis for over 12 years. Alongside competing, I’ve also coached junior athletes, which gave me early experience in mentoring, communication, and skill development. Tennis taught me discipline, consistency, and how to perform under pressure, and those lessons strongly influence how I approach training and coaching today.

What do you love most about Coaching woman?

Watching woman realise they’re capable of far more than they think, physically and mentally. Seeing confidence grow alongside strength is the most rewarding part.

Morning sessions or evening sessions?

Morning sessions without a doubt. Training early helps me set a positive tone for the day and gives me a sense of accomplishment before everything else begins. I find I’m more focused, energized and productive when I move my body first thing in the morning.

How did I get into fitness?

I grew up playing Competitive tennis which introduced me to structured training, discipline and performance focused training from a young age. Over time my curiosity shifted from just training to understanding how the body moves and adapts. That passion turned into coaching, where now I love helping woman build strength, confidence and feel comfortable working out no matter where they’re starting from.

Go to exercise everyone should be doing?

Squats and hip thrusts, because strong legs and glutes solve a lot of life’s problems. Squats are one of the most functional full body movements you can do. They build strength through the legs and glutes, improve mobility and carry over into everyday life, whether that’s lifting, running or simply moving better.

Hip thrusts are the glute builder for a reason. They earn their place because they directly target glute strength, which is essential for posture, performance and injury prevention. Strong glutes support the lower back, improve athletic movement and make everything else feel easier. Plus let’s be honest, who doesn’t want a strong backside.
